Terms and Conditions: Win Your Wedding Room Hire Competition

1. Eligibility:

   1. The Win Your Wedding Room Hire Competition ("Competition") is open to all individuals aged 18 years or older at the time of entry.

   2. Employees of Akarana Marine Sports Charitable Trust and Royal Akarana Yacht Club, their immediate family members, and anyone else connected with the organisation or the Competition are not eligible to enter.

2. How to Enter:

   1.  To enter the Competition, participants must RSVP to our Wedding Open Day event and attend in person.

   2. Participants can RSVP by completing the online RSVP form on the Event Listing or emailing events@akarana.co.nz.

   3. Only one entry per person is permitted. Multiple entries will be disqualified.

3. Competition Period:

   1. The Competition will begin on 19 February 2024 and end on 14 April 2024. All entries must be received by the specified end date and time. Entries submitted after this time will not be considered.

4. Prize:

   1. The prize for the Competition is free room hire for a wedding at the Hyundai Marine Sports Centre on a mutually agreed date and time, subject to availability.

   2. Room hire allocation is to be deducted from the wedding package at $20 per person, up to the maximum of 200 guests. 

   3. The prize includes standard room hire charges only. Any additional services, such as catering, decorations, or equipment rentals, will be the responsibility of the winner and must be arranged and paid for separately.

   4. The prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be redeemed for cash or any other alternative.

5. Winner Selection:

   1. The winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries received during the Competition Period.

   2. The winner will be notified by email within 1 day of the end of the Competition.

   3. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not respond within 14 days of the initial notification, an alternative winner may be selected at our discretion.

6. Publicity:

   1. By participating in the Competition, the winner agrees to the use of their name, image, and any imagery from their wedding event (related to the prize) in any promotional material or publicity efforts related to the Competition or Akarana Marine Sports Charitable Trust without any additional compensation.

   2. Akarana Marine Sports Charitable Trust reserves the right to use, reproduce, publish, or display such imagery in various marketing and promotional materials, including but not limited to social media, websites, brochures, advertisements, and press releases.

   3. The winner acknowledges and agrees that Akarana Marine Sports Charitable Trust shall have full rights to edit, modify, or enhance the imagery as deemed necessary for marketing and promotional purposes.

   4. The winner warrants that they have obtained all necessary permissions and consents from individuals present in the imagery, including guests, to grant Akarana Marine Sports Charitable Trust the rights specified in this clause.

   5. Akarana Marine Sports Charitable Trust shall not be held responsible for any claims, actions, suits, demands, liabilities, losses, or damages arising out of the use of the imagery as authorized in this clause.

   6. Any personal data relating to participants will be used solely in accordance with current data protection legislation and our privacy policy. Participant data will not be disclosed to a third party without the participant's prior consent.

7. Liability and Indemnity:

   1. Akarana Marine Sports Charitable Trust shall not be responsible for any loss, damage, or injury suffered by the winner or their guests as a result of accepting or using the prize.

   2. Participants agree to release and hold Akarana Marine Sports Charitable Trust harmless from any claims, actions, suits, demands, liabilities, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with their participation in the Competition or acceptance and use of the prize.

8. General Terms:

   1. Akarana Marine Sports Charitable Trust reserves the right to cancel or amend the Competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of unforeseen circumstances or any other factors outside of our control. 

   2. By entering the Competition, participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and any other instructions or requirements specified by Akarana Marine Sports Charitable Trust

   3. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand. 

   4. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with the Competition shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.
